About Owen Homes
Founded in 1987, Owen Homes has been part of the Waterloo Region building community for nearly four decades. What began as a family-rooted commitment to craftsmanship has grown into a respected name known for quality construction, thoughtful planning, and long-term community investment.
Jeff and Connie Owen are proud to have deep roots in the region. They raised their four children in Waterloo Region, where their families now continue to live and grow. Building is not just a profession for the Owens — it is a family legacy. Jeff’s father, Doug Owen, was a well-known Kitchener-Waterloo builder and former president of the Kitchener Rangers. Connie’s father, Dawson Welk, was also a respected builder who constructed many homes throughout the Ottawa Valley. That multi-generational foundation continues to shape Owen Homes today.
Over the years, Owen Homes has successfully built a diverse range of residential projects including single and semi-detached homes, townhomes, student apartments, multi-storey residential buildings, and commercial buildings. Each project reflects a consistent standard of durability, livability, and attention to detail.
As Owen Homes looks ahead, the focus remains the same as it was in 1987: build thoughtfully, contribute positively to the community, and create places where families and individuals can thrive for generations.
